This ancient Æ Drachm dates to the reign of Emperor Domitian (AD 81–96) and originates from Alexandria, Egypt, offering a solid example of Roman provincial bronze coinage. It is a substantial, well-preserved bronze piece with clear iconography characteristic of Domitianic issues.
Obverse: Laureate bust of Domitian facing right, finely rendered with visible facial features and laurel details. Reverse: Domitian is shown standing and raising his hand while holding a scepter and reins, driving a biga drawn by centaurs, each carrying a Nike and scepter — a dramatic scene that emphasizes imperial authority and divine favour.
