Demonetised in 2006 only an estimated 48,000 of the 2004 5 cent coin avoided being recalled and melted, making these extremely scarce.

These coins fetched a peak of $350 in 2006, when it was believed few if any had survived. However the price has now settled back to a much more reasonable level, a great item to have in your collection at a very reasonable price.
