This is an authentic Ancient Roman denarius featuring Faustina the Elder, struck during the reign of Antoninus Pius (138–161 AD). A fine example of Imperial-era portraiture, it reflects the artistry and ceremonial imagery of Rome’s high empire.

Obverse: Draped bust of Faustina I, right, her hair elaborately waved and coiled on top of the head. Reverse: Vesta, veiled and draped, standing left, holding a simpulum in her right hand and the palladium in her left—symbols of purity and protection.
